Scenic reading from the book of the same name by Gioconda Belli
with Lucilla Giagnoni
music by Paolo Pizzimenti
Legend and reality blend smoothly in this story of two women who lived in different eras, a Nahua Mexican who fights against the conquistadores and a modern-era woman who lives in a country ruled by a cruel Central American dictator; their lives come together as if by magic in a blend of love and struggle.
Presentation of “AIRONE DI CARTA” award to Gioconda Belli by Carta di Pordenone.
