Inauguration
Opening of the Festival with Hisham Matar
presented by Benedetta Tobagi
As has by now become traditional, the Festival opens with a conversation with this year’s guest. He will talk with Benedetta Tobagi, who will introduce the public to Hisham Matar and his cultural universe, in which a passion for writing, literature and poetry are so closely linked to his origins and the world which surrounds him.
Further details and unpublished material may be found in the Monograph created for the Festival: an interview with the writer conducted by Benedetta Tobagi, articles by Anna Nadotti and Gianluca Buttolo and two unpublished works by Hisham Matar written exclusively for Dedica: Il libro misterioso (A misterious book) and Non ricordo un’epoca in cui le parole non fossero pericolose (I do not remember a time when words were not dangerous).
Dedica a Hisham Matar, edited by Claudio Cattaruzza, will be on sale for € 8.00 during the course of the festival or can be ordered on the festival’s website shop.
