Dedica for School
Dedica continues to focus very closely on the younger generations, organizing special events reserved to students.
La scena della parola
(Words Take the Stage)
This initiative gives participants the chance to get to know Mathias Énard as a person by examining his world and reading his most important works. During the course of the festival, the students will also get to meet the author in person.
Words and images for Mathias Énard
This competition, open to students from High Schools in the Province, is intended to involve young people directly by requiring them to translate the impressions evoked by reading the works of Mathias Énard into the form preferred by each participant – either in written form, in images or producing multi-media creations.
Schools taking part in the competition: Liceo Leopardi-Majorana and Liceo Grigoletti (Pordenone), Liceo artistico Galvani (Cordenons), Licei Le Filandiere (San Vito al Tagliamento).
Dedica on Bookblog at the Turin Book Fair
Also for 2022, the Festival’s collaboration with the Turin International Book Fair (19-23 May) continues, where this year Friuli Venezia Giulia will be the host region. The various meetings held during the Festival will be documented in the Book Fair section assigned to the BookBlog, an online newspaper created by students with the aim of providing information concerning the personalities, ideas and events featured in other major literary festivals in Italy.
The events organized for the Dedica Festival will be documented by a group of bloggers from the Liceo Grigoletti high school in Pordenone, coordinated by Professor Francesca Endrigo.
