Flavio Gregori
He is a professor of English literature at Venice’s Ca’ Foscari university. His area of research is the eighteenth century, with a particular focus on satirical literature, the novel, epic poetry, the mock heroic and sentimental literature. He also studies literary theory, comparative literature, the Italian dissemination of English literature and contemporary culture. He has been the Vice Rector for Cultural Activities and the Rector’s representative for the university’s literary activities, and the Director of the Department of Linguistic and Comparative Cultural Studies.
Since 2021, he has been the director of the international literary festival Incroci di Civiltà (‘Crossroads of Civilizations’).
