THE TROUBLES

Photographic exhibition by Patrick Frilet
presented by Angelo Bertani and Claudio Cattaruzza
hosted in the City Library
in the “Teresina Degan” Conference Room
with the participation of Patrick Frilet and Sorj Chalandon

The Civil War in Northern Ireland on the one hand reflected certain violent trends in the twentieth century but on the other hand was the result of destructive conflicts and struggles against the colonialism of an empire, the British Empire, which was breaking up. Giving an account of all this in a photographic reportage that made it necessary for him to go personally to the places of conflict, report on the facts and try to interpret them through the images.

The exhibition catalogue published by Thesis and written by Angelo Bertani and Claudio Cattaruzza is available at the event or on this website.
